EPIMED GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and complies strictly with the standards of privacy policy, in particular the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz and the Telemediengesetz.

Should we use your data for a purpose which requires your permission under these regulations, we shall expressly ask you for your permission in each case. Having granted your permission, you can revoke it at any time with future effect and/or prohibit future use of your data. Merely registering on our website, using it, or noting this data-protection notice shall not replace your express permission.

Personal details will only be recorded on this website as follows. Data obtained from yourself will not be passed on to third parties without your permission, unless we are required by government bodies, under applicable legislation, to provide information or release data to meet their statutory duties, e.g. for purposes of criminal investigations.

1. Recording and processing of data

EPIMED GmbH’s web server makes a temporary record of each access and stores it in a log file. The following data are recorded, and stored until an automatic deletion date:

• data identifying the browser software and operating system
• web site from which our site was accessed
• IP address of the requesting processor
• date and time of access

EPIMED GmbH does not compile personal profiles of users.

2. Contact form

You have an opportunity to input personal details (email addresses, names). The input of these data takes place voluntarily. The use of all services offered by EPIMED GmbH are free and permitted - if and insofar as technically possible and reasonable - without specification of any personal details or under specification of anonymised data or an alias. We use the personal details so recorded only to fulfil the purpose for which you have made contact. We record these data and, having carried out your request, we delete them or, should we be subject to statutory duties of storage, we block them.  

3. Registering in the Log-In section

Staff and study-investigators may register on our website. In this case we shall collect certain personal details from you. These will be: your first name and surname, your e-mail address, and your password.

4. Rights of information and amendment

You have the right to inspect the personal details relating to yourself at any time, and to correct, supplement or delete them. Should you wish to do so, please contact our address above.

5. Excluded uses of our data

The use of published postal addresses, phone or fax numbers and email addresses for marketing purposes is prohibited; offenders sending unwanted spam messages will be punished.
